Awareness of Individuals with Disabilities in the Banking Sector Was Discussed.

Within the scope of the “Awareness Seminars for an Inclusive Society” program, conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Family and Social Services and BEYAZAY, a comprehensive awareness seminar was held for managers and employees working in the banking sector. The program addressed issues that institutions and employees should pay attention to in order to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access banking services equally and independently.

Throughout the seminar, topics such as accessibility, the right attitude and effective communication towards individuals with disabilities, a rights-based approach, increasing accessibility in banking services, and developing social awareness were covered. Furthermore, participants were offered different perspectives through real-life experiences, and assessments were made regarding the problems that individuals with disabilities face in daily life.

The program, which included opening and closing speeches by BEYAZAY President Lokman Ayva, featured representatives from the General Directorate of Services for the Disabled and Elderly, as well as expert speakers who shared their knowledge and experiences with the participants. The seminar emphasized the importance of widespread implementation of practices that facilitate access to services for individuals with disabilities and increasing the awareness level of employees.

The "Awareness Seminars for an Inclusive Society" aim to strengthen cooperation between public institutions, the private sector, and civil society organizations, and to support the equal and effective participation of individuals with disabilities in all areas of social life.
