EKPSS Application Announcement from the Ministry of Family

Applications for the Public Personnel Selection Examination for People with Disabilities, to be held on 22 April 2018, open today (06.02.2018). As the application date approaches, statements have begun to come one by one from the relevant institutions. Here is the statement issued by the organisation of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies…

An announcement regarding EKPSS applications was issued by the Adana and Edirne Provincial Directorates of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies.

The announcements drew attention to the fact that candidates applying for the examination for the first time, or those who have previously applied for the EKPSS and whose disability status has changed, must obtain a Pre-Approval and Undertaking Declaration from the provincial or district officer (where available) before going to ÖSYM, and that this document must be signed by the officer. It was underlined that applications will not be accepted at ÖSYM Application Centres without the Pre-Approval and Undertaking Declaration document setting out detailed information on the candidate's disability status and disability group.

The statement stressed that the following documents are required in order to obtain the Pre-Approval and Undertaking Declaration document.

Documents Required for Pre-Approval

1. The original and a photocopy of a Disability Medical Board Report stating a disability of 40% or above, in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation on Disability Criteria, Classification and Medical Board Reports to be Issued to People with Disabilities
2. The original and a photocopy of an official document showing educational status, diploma or graduation status
3. The original and a photocopy of an identity card/Turkish ID card or passport (the identity card must bear a photograph and the Turkish ID number, and the passport must be valid.)
4. Other documents showing the candidate's disability group or condition (guidance research centre reports, if any)
5. EKPSS Candidate Application Form

As is known, applications for the EKPSS to be held on 22 April will be accepted between 6 and 21 February. For the Late Application Day introduced this year, applications will be made on 13–14 March 2018. The results of the EKPSS 2018 to be held on 22 April will be announced on 17 May. The first appointments from this examination will be made during October.

Applications for the Disability Lottery for candidates who are graduates of primary, lower secondary and basic education will be accepted between 2 and 16 May. The late application day for the lottery has been set as 29–30 May 2018.
