As part of the “Movement to Overcome” campaign run by the Turkish Beyazay Association under the auspices of the Presidency and launched with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, children with and without disabilities did sport together in Aksaray.
The children, who came together at the Dağılgan Sports Facilities, wore blue ribbons on their lapels to draw attention to 2 April, World Autism Awareness Day.
The President of the Aksaray branch of the Turkish Beyazay Association, Cem Elibol, said: ‘‘Over the past 5 years the number of children with autism has risen. That number grows by the day. Children with autism are part of society. As the Beyazay Association we will always stand by these children of ours. All people with disabilities in Aksaray will do sport here two days a week. I thank everyone who has given support in this.”
