As part of the ”Movement to Overcome” campaign carried out by the Turkish Beyazay Association under the auspices of the Presidency, a paragliding event was organised for people with disabilities in Samsun.
At the event, to which paragliding athletes of the 19 Mayıs Aviation, Youth and Sports Association also contributed, people with visual, hearing and orthopaedic disabilities went paragliding.
The President of the Samsun branch of the Turkish Beyazay Association, Mehmet Akbulut, said they had organised the paragliding flights so that people with disabilities would not become cut off from social life and in order to hold a different kind of event.
The President of the 19 Mayıs Aviation, Youth and Sports Association, Ulukan Abacı, pointed out that every healthy person is a potential person with a disability, and said they attach importance to social responsibility projects.
Members of the Turkish Beyazay Association who went paragliding said they had enjoyed the event greatly and found it very exciting.
