The ‘‘Denizli Overcomes Barriers in Skopje’’ project of the Denizli branch of the Turkish Beyazay Association was presented at an evening held at the Dedeman Hotel.
The Denizli branch of the Turkish Beyazay Association had a special education classroom built at a primary school providing education in Turkish in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia.
The programme was attended by AK Party Denizli MPs Şahin Tin and Cahit Özkan, the President of the Turkish Beyazay Association Lokman Ayva, the President of the Denizli Chamber of Commerce Necdet Özer, the President of the Denizli branch of the Turkish Beyazay Association Dilek Yüksel Kahveci, numerous civil society organisations, and people with and without disabilities and their families.
The President of the Denizli branch of the Turkish Beyazay Association, Dilek Kahveci, said: ‘‘We had a special education classroom built at a primary school in Skopje that provides education in Turkish and is one of 18 schools that served in the Ottoman period. I offer my thanks to everyone who helped us with this project.’’
The President of the Turkish Beyazay Association, Lokman Ayva, said: ‘‘Our association's Denizli branch is achieving successful and significant things worthy of Denizli. I congratulate and commend our Denizli branch and its directors for adding yet another to their aid efforts and projects that cross borders.’’
The programme ended with a stage performance by the musician Bilal Göregen, who is blind.
