The ‘Movement to Overcome’ campaign launched by the Turkish Beyazay Association and held under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye is continuing at full pace in Diyarbakır. The sports festival held at the Diyarbakır Seyrantepe Sports Hall drew 5,000 participants.
The programme was attended by the Governor of Diyarbakır Hüseyin Ersoy, the President of the Turkish Beyazay Association Lokman Ayva, the Diyarbakır artist Bedri Ayseli, numerous institutions and organisations, and many people with and without disabilities. As part of the campaign, children with and without disabilities played basketball, football and volleyball together. Before the sporting contests Bedri Ayseli also gave a short concert.
The Governor of Diyarbakır, Hüseyin Ersoy, said: ” Noting that Türkiye's social dimension has taken shape over the past 10 years through important changes in the law, we must provide a comfortable environment for people with disabilities. I thank everyone who contributed to this campaign.”
