As part of the ‘‘Movement to Overcome’’ campaign launched by the Turkish Beyazay Association and run under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, people with and without disabilities came together for sporting activities in Sivas.
At the event held on the outer pitch of Sivas 4 Eylül Stadium, people with and without disabilities practised judo and played bocce. Members of the provincial protocol also played football together with people with disabilities.
Thanking the institutions that organised the events, the President of the Turkish Beyazay Association Lokman Ayva said: “We would not wish our child or a member of our family to have a disability. We think that if we have a disability we will suffer great hardship and pain and face many problems. We think the wide world will narrow and we will fall into despair. In fact it is nothing like that.”
