For 8 March, International Women's Day, the Turkish Beyazay Association brought together Syrian women affected by war and women with disabilities. The Turkish Beyazay Association, which develops projects for Syrians as well as for people with disabilities and their families, did not forget Syrian women affected by war this year either.
Taking part in the programme, the President of the Turkish Beyazay Association Lokman Ayva said: ‘‘Because of the civil war in neighbouring Syria, many Syrians have been forced to take refuge in our country. Of course it is women and children who are most affected by this war. We have organised a lovely event to celebrate Women's Day with our Syrian women too. We want to see this friendship always and everywhere.’’
The programme ended with a meal.
