As part of the ‘The Two of Us Are One Sapling’ project run jointly by the Turkish Beyazay Association and the Çekmeköy District Directorate of National Education, children with and without disabilities planted saplings together.
The children planted in Çekmeköy's Özgecan Aslan Park the saplings they had given one another, and enjoyed a delightful time.
The Çekmeköy District Director of National Education Ahmet Aktaş, who took part in the planting event, said: ” Under this project our children with and without disabilities gave each other saplings and raised them in their own homes. During this time they also had the chance to visit one another and get to know each other. Today they are enjoying the excitement of putting the saplings they raised into the soil. I thank everyone who contributed to the project. ”
