The Turkish Beyazay Association, which through its 72 branches at home and 7 abroad has to date served many people with disabilities and their families in Türkiye and around the world, received support from the artist Kıraç for the ‘‘Movement to Overcome’’ campaign it launched under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Family and Social Policies and the Ministry of National Education.
The children with and without disabilities who appeared in the video alongside Kıraç also attended the video launch programme held at the Malta Pavilion in Istanbul. Seeing themselves alongside Kıraç on the giant screen set up on stage, the youngsters chose to sing the song together with Kıraç once again, just as in the video.
The artist Kıraç said: ‘‘Lokman Ayva wrote such beautiful lyrics, quite like a folk song. I could not believe it, I did not expect this much. I look forward to new lyrics from him. Such beautiful words. In my view he has captured in words so well the feeling the campaign wants to create. Even the phrase ‘Movement to Overcome' expresses something so beautiful that it says everything that needs to be said.’’
