The five-day Teacher Training Programme for the Development of Children with Disabilities, organised under the leadership of TİKA together with the Turkish Beyazay Association, has begun in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia.
Speaking at the opening of the programme held at the Bushi Hotel, TİKA Skopje Coordinator Teoman Tiryaki said the idea for the project had emerged from consultations held during last year's visit to North Macedonia by officials of the Turkish Beyazay Association.
The President of the Kahramanmaraş branch of the Turkish Beyazay Association, Osman Demirci, said: ‘‘We have come to Skopje as officials from our branches in four different cities in Türkiye. Here we have begun work on what can be done to help our brothers and sisters with disabilities in North Macedonia overcome their barriers.’’
The Teacher Training Programme for the Development of Children with Disabilities in Skopje will continue until 1 April.
