The Turkish Beyazay Association continues to provide services through its branches at home and abroad. The Diyarbakır branch of the Turkish Beyazay Association and the Yenişehir Family Support Centre took action and opened various courses for women in their district who had been forced to leave their homes because of terrorism.
Around 25 women affected by terrorism are both gaining a profession and earning an income through the textile courses opened at the centre.
The President of the Diyarbakır branch of the Turkish Beyazay Association, Nezihe Kent, said: ‘‘The acts of terrorism experienced in our region in recent days have deeply affected our women and children in particular. As the Diyarbakır branch of the Turkish Beyazay Association we will continue to support both people with disabilities and their families and the women affected by terrorism.’’
