BEYAZAY NETHERLANDS DISCUSSES DISABILITY IN DEPTH

Thanks to the successful organisation of the Netherlands branch of the Turkish Beyazay Association, the Turkish community came together in Zaandam, Amsterdam, at a conference entitled ‘Do Not Marginalise Them, They Need Us’, which aimed to raise awareness of disability. The Turkish community in the Netherlands showed great interest in the interactive conference, at which the educator and writer Ms Asuman Eroğlu and the Rotterdam Religious Services Attaché Dr Ali Parlak took part as speakers. Our Consul General in Amsterdam, Mr Engin Arıkan, also spoke at the event and expressed his support, and Esra Ceceli, a member of the General Coordination Board of the Turkish Beyazay Association, attended from Türkiye. Noting that seminars and new projects for people with disabilities would continue and increase, the President of the Netherlands branch of the Turkish Beyazay Association, Aynur Gül Çakır, said they were delighted that awareness grew with every event and that new volunteers were joining.
